Most MetaLocator interfaces default to the United States when searching by postal code. lf your locator is focused on a single country, you can update the Base TLD setting to your preferred country:
Why this is Important
This setting is used to disambiguate terms entered in to the Zip code field so MetaLocator knows which area to search in. This is important because terms overlap in different countries. In Monaco the postal codes are comprised between 80331 and 81929. Many of those also exist in Colorado.
Searching Multiple Countries
If your locator needs to search more than one country, the recommended approach is to add a Country drop-down to your Search Form as shown below. The locator then better understands terms entered in to the Zip code field by using the user’s chosen country.
