Importing and Export interface settings

MetaLocator allows you to import and export Interface settings to and from a text file.

This is helpful for creating backups of your settings and customizations.  Additionally, you can easily import settings created in a different interface.

To import an interface file,

1. First create or choose the interface to which the file should be imported.  Importing must occur on an existing interface.

2. Click the Interface title to open the Interface Editor

3. Click Import Settings under the ellipsis menu on the toolbar.

4. Paste the contents of the import text file into the box provided.

5. Click “Import”

Your interface will be updated with the settings provided.

To export an interface file,

1. Choose the interface you would like to export

2. Click the Interface title to open the Interface Editor

3. Click Export on the toolbar.

4. The file will be downloaded by your browser.
